About Anthony:

Anthony Monteith retired from instructing martial arts in 1997 to pursue the development of his interest in Chinese Medicine. Having previously studied Health Science and Remedial Sports Massage, Anthony chose to focus on the links between eastern and western aspects of health and healing. After being cured of a debilitating knee injury through Tui Na, Anthony chose to study this amazing discipline. He completed practitioner & advanced Tui Na diploma training course with the Academy of Oriental Medicine. Anthony has been practicing Tui Na for 8 years in Ireland. In addition, he has gained further qualifications in Chinese Patent Herbs and Acupuncture.

Anthony continues to study Tui Na under the mentorship of Errol Lynch to further his understanding of the depth of this unique medical system, and to help improve his own innate healing skills.

Anthony is a member of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (UK & Ireland Division) and the TCMCI (Traditional Chinese Medicine Council of Ireland). He is a qualified instructor in Soo Bahk Do (Korean Martial Art) and has trained with many of the world´s top martial artists.

Areas of Interest:

When not involved in clinical practice, Anthony enjoys passing on his knowledge through a variety of teaching methods. He is renowned for his enthusiastic and energetic seminars. Often Anthony can be found using his techniques on horse and rider as complimentary treatment to balance both parties.
