About Ronald:
Ronald worked for British Telecom for 10 years in a clerical capacity using computers which made him aware of repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and problems with posture. For 17 years he ran his own retail clothing business working in markets. He understands how outdoor working conditions can affect one's health as well as the stresses and strains of running your own business. Over the years his physical training has included karate, self, defence, athletics, aerobics, circuit training, weight training and boxing. Also some basic movements of tai chi and chi gong!
Ronald has also been a musician for the past 22 years. Playing hand held percussion and hand drums requiring a great deal of left/right hand co ordination; hand conditioning and dexterity. This brings a lot energy, strength, stamina and endurance to the hands; which is great for massage. Over the years his physical training has included karate, self defence, athletics, aerobics, circuit training, weight training and boxing. In terms of TuiNa this gives him an understanding of the importance of posture as well as repetitive strain injuries.
Ronald started studying and practicing TuiNa in 2004 after receiving a series of treatments from Errol Lynch the year before. Having a keen interest in complimentary health treatments and an interest in therapies such as acupuncture, homeopathy, herbs and reflexology amongst others, when the opportunity to study TuiNa presented itself Roland felt it was a natural step to take.
After having visited China on three study tours between 2006/7 and completing 3 months of clinical study and practice at Hang Zhou Hospital's Tuina Department, Roland has also worked and studied tuina with Errol Lynch at Tuina UK workshops and in his clinics in London over the last five years.
Areas of Interest:
Ronald´s ambition is to be at the cutting edge of the growing health awareness movement and continue to develop his knowledge and improve his application of skill within tuina and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
